Hidden Post: Fears about Ted.
How far is he going to go to save Melanie and Felicity?
It is an accepted idea that one should condition themselves to love and to be loved. Yet, what he's doing is insane. I think it's a throwback to his feelings of inadequacy when they died. With Melanie, he was powerless to stop the sickness just taking her away. With Felicity, he was too late to talk her down, and knowing our timeline's Felicity, she wouldn't have listened any way.
Love is not a boomerang where we throw it and it comes right back to us.
Love is similar to that chinese proverbs where daughters are like spilled water. We throw it all out hoping that someday by whatever deity's grace, we'll somehow be able to get it all back.
Love is futile, a charade, a lie.
Love is selfish, a sham and a coin toss.
And yet we find ourselves trying, hoping and failing over and over again.
Insanity is humourously defined as doing the same experiment every time and expecting different outcomes.
I suppose everyone's a little bit insane sometimes.
And Theodore is going into an insane situation. It's impossible to save either one of them. This weird anomaly of us BEING back here in this day and age is showing how madcap crazy this whole thing is.
I hope he knows where to stop.
I hope he sees the futility, before we feel the effects of a bad coin toss.
I hope to whatever God.
